DBS has been nearly miraculous in my case. The only remaining side-effect that I can identify is voice. What I think I recall is as voltage went up, the voice problems worsened. Since my job, as most do, requires the use of my voice on a frequent basis, is it possible that short speaking 'stints' could be improved, temporarily, by lowering voltage?
