Default Wrong method of CT Angiography and Doppler?

Hi all,
Just wanted to ask how other people's Angiograph was carried out. I had mine with contrast, but both scans were performed with my arms in a downward position over the front of my body!
This doesn't make sense to me... Surely the affected arm needs to be raised above head to show if veins / arteries are being compressed?
Along the same lines, the test with the Doppler and blood pressure cuff did not show anything - but my arms were not placed above my head at anytime?
Anyone else think this is wrong?
I will never get a diagnosis if they don't do the tests right....
Thanks
