I’m glad I took that early shower because the doctor’s office called to offer me a 9:30am appointment, I was already ready and I jumped at the chance.
The NP was very nice, but he was more concerned about the hernia/prolapse and possibly of colitis than my actual constipation. Right now I’m scheduled for a colonoscopy on the 19th at an outpatient facility, but when I had my upper GI done, I had to have it at the hospital because of the meds I take, and that was before I was diagnosed with kidney disease. I told the medical assistant she had to check with my gastro to see what he thinks is best. Corey needs an answer soon so he can give work notice he needs the day off.
She was supposed to give me directions for the prolonged colonoscopy prep, but gave me the wrong sheet, so I have to call about that.
For the constipation, he suggested taking less mag. Citrate more often, which is in line with what the nephrologist is more comfortable with. He doesn’t like the idea of how much I was taking, or the roller coaster ride I’ve been on.
We woke up without power, and the snow was up to the windows of my car. But Ellen from upstairs and Miguel from next door cleaned it off for me, dug it out, and moved it for the plow.. SOOO NICE!!! So I invited them both upstairs for coffee when they are done. They are still out there tho.
We’re expecting to be without power for 24hrs+. That means no heat or hot water, but we have a gas oven, so we can use the stove top.
I also have no internet (and obviously no TV), so I’m writing this on my phone, and have to save battery.
I hope everyone is doing okay. I look forward to catching up when I get my Wi-Fi back.
