This neuro sounds like an idiot. I suggest you get another opinion, because as one who's always had epilepsy, this sounds like a seizure to me.

Consider, too, trying to stop smoking. Some studies have shown that nicotine can aggravate seizures by lowering the threshold, allowing for greater susceptibility. Your lungs will feel better, too!
