We were very intrigued with this when we first read about it a couple of years ago. But we realized that it results in a permanent elimination of the tissue that they direct the ultrasound to-meaning, there is no going back if it doesn't work well for you: that brain tissue is gone. That was too scary for us, mainly because we aren't tremor-dominant and so the chances of it being really helpful for us were unknown and even then, small. I think it we had bad tremors, though, we would really be considering it, for all the reasons that you mentioned. I believe this treatment was first discovered/used for essential tremor, so it is very tremor-symptom focused.

For those tremory PWP that it can help, though, wow, this could be a wonderful alternative to DBS.
