My husband took Benadryl daily for many years to address seasonal allergies. I finally got him to stop taking it after he developed symptoms of dementia. He has what is now believed to be the behavioral variant of Frontal Temporal Lobe Dementia, with no familial history... It is heartbreaking and worse than Alzheimer's...
