We have a glove with rubbery nibs raised so you can brush your cats and easily get fur off of them. It also works on towels. Jeff layed down 2 towels for the cats to lay on while we were gone. and they were really furry by the time we got back. So he just used the glove and got all of the fur off the towels...

Hubby said he bought his from bed bath and beyond, it comes in different colors, ours is blue.
