Hi MCEC5

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

The causes of PN can be hard to diagnose; often it is idiopathic, which means that it has no known cause(s).

Your alcohol intake may well be significant. I have mild/moderate PN in my hands which very likely is a consequence of when I abused alcohol. I stopped drinking about 10 years ago and it is now stable/decreasing.

In this context this thread is worth checking out https://www.neurotalk.org/alcoholism...pathy-2-a.html . Members who are dealing with alcohol-induced PN use it to support and encourage each other.

All the best.
