Searched squirrels and rabies, and the CDC website states that generally squirrels, mice, rats, and chipmunks don't transmit rabies, and there are no known cases of squirrels transmitting rabies to humans in the United States. It would be interesting to hear the circumstances surrounding your bite and treatment. Hope you are doing better.
