Default Post concussion recovery (recovered 99%)

Hi all just thought that I need to put this out there as I have had post concussion syndrome and I feel I have fully recovered.

My injury

Hit with football/soccer ball from close range about 80mph dazed and confused for initial injury throughout the day slept for 12 hours the night after injury when I usually sleep for 7/8 hours

Symptoms

Dizziness, dazed, light sensitivity, headaches, tinnitus you name it I had it

Treatment/scans

I have had CT MRI XRAY all of head and neck nothing for doctors to be concerned about

For the first year my recovery was slow and I struggled because I am An active person that loves sports and my kids are always on the go .I tried to do everything that I was told but I never took any medication whatsoever my symptoms were at there worst when I was phisicaly drained .I felt I was getting better then I woke up with all the symptoms returned .

The worst thing I done was constantly Google my symptoms and self diagnosing myself my advice don't do it let you brain recover from this injury the more worried you get about other illnesses you think you have will stop your recovery

I only have 2 symptoms now which is tinnitus and sometimes dizziness ( a wobble one a month but I know what the cause is)

Please don't take any medication that you can do without and always be positive you will recovery but if you don't let your brain rest your symptoms will continue

I hope this helps with others because I had to educate myself on this injury and until I realised that it was PCs and not some other illness my symptoms were going to continue

Good luck and do what your brain is telling you rest when required ⚽👍
