Not a word from my surgeon or anyone in her office(s) yesterday.
I'm very disappointed/unhappy about that.
I'm glad I didn't stay home-bound waiting for her to call me. I had several errands to run that had to be done yesterday since Corey needs the car today to go do some slave labor for his step-father.
My gastroenterologist called me in the evening to check in with me tho. He's a very good doctor,, and he is on board with the surgical plan. He said the surgery will be very hard, but thinks it will give me better control and a better quality of life...
He said he "connected" with my surgeon in some way (3 days ago now), but she may be waiting to talk to him, and that may be part of the delay. He said he would call her on Monday. He told me if I haven't heard from her, or anyone in her office, by Tuesday, to call his medical assistant, and she would try to grease the wheels. I don't think that would help tho. His medical assistant has no follow-through, and I've already mentioned how "impressive" the surgeon's secretary is in her Boston office.
I understand that the surgeon has a lot of medical records to review, wants to talk to my gastro, and IDK what else, before she books a date for surgery, but because of the silence, I'm starting to feel like it's never going to happen, and that's very upsetting. And the longer that silence goes on, the longer the wait will be before I have the surgery, if at all. I just wish someone would call me to give me some kind of update.
I feel absolutely terrible this morning. I feel dizzy and lightheaded like I did when I was having side effects from my meds before. I checked, and I didn't make a med mistake. I took my night pills 10 hours before I woke up.
It's probably because I'm on 3 atypicals (2 of them in low doses tho) and the Rexuti is starting to kick in (3 nights on it). I think tonight is probably a good time to cut back on the gabapentin by 100mg, and see if that helps at all, and hopefully my body will start to adjust to the new med, and SOON.
Next Wednesday night, the Rexulti goes up to 1mg, and I'll only be taking 1.5mg of Vraylar for 4 days. I think I'll have a hard time for those 4 days.
I'll call my pdoc if I have any kind of problems handling the meds, and maybe she can alter the plan.
Despite everything that's been going on, my mood has been good. So, so far the taper is going smoothly in that regard. I hope that doesn't change the longer I take the 3 atypicals together, I raise the Rexulti, or if I reduce the gabapentin dose tonight.
