The weather:
Bizi, I can't believe your MIL is still driving at all! I'm sure you're thrilled about that. I'm glad that she will be shoveled out, and Jeff's brother will help her get ready for the storm.
3 feet of snow is something ridiculous to contend with no matter how young and healthy people are. I hope your niece and her boyfriend stay safe
I hope you don't get the 12" they're saying you will get, Donna. Either way, I'm glad you are snug as a bug inside
Our forecast has changed a little... now we're supposed have snow showers throughout the day, and 8-12" mostly overnight, but really nothing tomorrow. But that could change. Weather forecasts are forever evolving.
Everything else:
My surgeon called yesterday to check in on me. She asked why I hadn't called about my issues, and I told her about the problems with her admin in her Boston office (where she is most of the time). She told me to call her suburban office in the future instead.
She told me to try two different things- starting with one thing (an extra FiberCon tablet at night), and if that didn't work, try the other (a dose of Mirilax at night). The problem is that both of those things may not have the desired effect, and may give me more diarrhea instead. She said she would call me in a couple of weeks to check in on me (or I could call her), and if those things don't help, we could discuss prescription medication. I may have to see her in her office for a different problem at some point.
Yesterday, I ran into Maggie, one of the girls who lived for years in the 1st floor apartment that we may move into. I asked her if she had any problems while living there- like a lot of outside noise, etc. She said that the only things that may be bothersome are that it can get cold, so you have to turn the heat way up sometimes (our landlords pay for the heat and hot water tho), and sometimes you can smell the cigarette smoke from the next-door neighbors (we're smokers, so that won't be that bothersome). She said she and her sister were very happy there, and would still be living there if the apartment wasn't so outdated. They moved to a renovated apartment on the 3rd floor, then the 1st floor apartment was renovated when they moved out..
She mentioned that the guy that's living in the 1st floor apartment now is never home, not even late at night. I've noticed that, too. She thinks that he's probably moving in with his girlfriend. THAT would make sense.
So, I feel A LOT better after speaking to Maggie. And when I told Corey about everything she said, he felt a lot better, too.
