Our current upstairs neighbors are the ones I'm always b'ing about, and they're a f'ing nightmare. That's why we have to move. They're never going to change. Staying in this apartment is NOT an option as long as they are living above us. If they stay, and for some reason something goes wrong, and we can't move to the downstairs apartment, we will be looking elsewhere.
Right now, the apartment above the downstairs apartment we're looking to move into is vacant and needs to be remodeled. We have no way of knowing who will move in there, but that doesn't bother us. There's no way they can be as bad as these a/h's. We can't live on the top (3rd) floor anymore because I obviously can't walk up there, so we'll always have people living above us. We lived in our last apartment, which was on the 1st floor, for 7 1/2 years, and never had a problem with any of our upstairs neighbors, and we had many during that time because of the hefty yearly rent increases. Most of them only stayed a year.
I would still have to do the stairs if we moved into the downstairs apartment. There is a ground floor exit through the slider, but there is no lock on it, so I could only use it if Corey was home. But if I had a relapse and couldn't walk, Corey could carry me in and out that way instead of having to carry me up and down the stairs.
I'm sick of dealing with cat litter dust, so I'm going to try putting a box with a hood on it in the office and see if the kitties take to it or not. It's a huge corner box, so size will not be a problem. Cross your fingers for me that they will ALL like it and use it. I HOPE to slowly transition to all covered boxes. I ordered the new one for online pick up from PetSmart, and will swing by there today.
I'm going to go look for glasses today (at only one place), too since my prescription has changed a little. If I can't find anything I like as much or more than the ones I have now, I will just go without because I don't have the patience to go running around looking for new ones when I like the ones I have.
The pest control guys want everything pulled away from the walls before they come, but there's a ton of s- that won't fit in the closet leaning up against them. I had most of it in the closet, but Corey went digging around in there looking for something stupid, and when he was done, he couldn't fit nearly as much back in there. So, I'm going to try starting to rearrange things so that they fit better when I get home this afternoon. I have tomorrow to do it, too tho.
And we have a bunch of s- that needs to be thrown out that I've been forever asking Corey to take care of. I've been trying to convince him that this is a good opportunity to do it since we will be moving soon anyway, but so far, he hasn't done anything. There's some s- I can throw out myself, and I'll do that before I head out today, or maybe tomorrow.
Our kitchen sink is clogged, and the BR sink is draining slowly. I guess I'll find out if there's a problem with the tub drain when I get into the shower. I'll have to call the office to have maintenance come take a look at it, but I have to clean the BR first. Corey shaved and got little hairs all over the sink as usual.
So, I think I have a full day ahead of me.
