You read unreliable stuff. 5 MPH of head into concrete could be a concussion. 5 mph of a car into a concrete wall with the person in the car just jostled about is not a concussion.

Anxiety will take any minor sensation and make it 10 times more noticeable. The anxious mind will get stuck thinking about that over-dramatized sensation and make it even worse.

Regarding concussions, this is Concussion Anxiety Syndrome. It is not in the DSM yet but it is at epidemic levels after the movie Concussion.

Not even enough jerk to be considered a Sub Concussive Impact. 800 to 1000 Sub-Concussive Impacts over a sport season (soccer, football, hockey, rugby) can cumulatively be a problem. The key issue is the brain never gets a moment away from the game to settle down.

One sub concussive impact from time to time is meaningless.

If you air bags did not go off or if your head did not smack hard into the window, you did not come close to a concussion.

When you total you car, come back and we can help you.
