The first thing they should do is run a Heavy Metal Toxic blood test on you. Because you are a chemist, that should have been the first thing they did. Since you are not a diabetic, please tell us about your family history.

Anybody have any auto-immune disorders in your family?

And believe me, this is not in your head. Your doctor should know better than to tell you this.
