Thanks everyone for the replies - I think we will wait about a month or so and then take the plunge and book somewhere
It may be that we try a day at a local theme park first just to gage her reaction to being on rides or large crowds
I am looking towards travelling in November / December when the weather is cooler and the crowds more manageable and will stick more to Seaworld / Busch etc
Sorry that myself and Alison don't always reply - we are really busy with a schedule of therapy and hospital appointments at the moment
Finally to answer your question of how do I cope with all this - the answer is a great deal of love for my daughter and also past experience
My mum had MS which started when I was 13 and progressed until she died 22 years later from complications caused by it. Whilst I can only imagine what Alison has been through it has brought back many of the feelings I had as a teenager about the illness and its effects on family life
I know RSD and MS are not related but both are problems with the nervous system so understanding RSD has been relatively easy for myself and I can pass this on to those around me
The only problem is that I cannot help but think "Why ME again!!!". I was a part tme carer for mum and watched her suffer for many years and now a similar thing is happening to my daughter. My only hope is that we receive a quick remission of this illness and Alison can get back to being a teenager some time soon !!!!!
Take Care
Andrea (Alison's mum)
