I'm a book junkie. Has anyone read the Ray Kurzweil book, The Singularity is Near, that is mentioned in Carolyn's above post? In his book, A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawking refers to an infinitely small point from which the universe began forming with the "Big Bang" as the singularity.
