Default Walked into a chair leg, body jarred... no hit to head, why pain?

Hello,

So we have been moving furniture around in my house. I just was walking faster, and a chair leg was sticking out and it stopped me straight in my tracks and I stopped and wobbled. I felt like it jarred my head even though it was only my foot. It was very sudden and I was looking down and like it stopped my body but I wobbled a bit...

IMMEDIATELY I’m getting these feelings up my head and neck...
WHAT the heck???
Could this be the remains of a subtle neck misalignment?
I’m really getting to the point where I think I’m losing my mind because I know my foot is the furthered thing from my head.. and I have NO foot pain. I hit my foot hard and it doesn’t hurt a bit. But instantaneously I feel it up there.
It’s quite literally. All in my head...
My doctor said this isn’t going to cause an injury.

1) if this is a somatic symptom disorder, is it bad to treat the symptoms? aka Tylenol, rest after the impact, hot rag for ache? Or is it better to pretend it didn’t happen and move on?
2) why do I feel the pain even after I call my doctor and she reminds me that I’m safe and this isn’t enough to cause a brain injury? Emotionally I’m feeling better but the pain is there.
