DocJohn did an announcement post about the new format on CFF forum
Here's the link to it:
New default theme, Blue Responsive

As he explains there, and Jo*mar has also posted here, it's very easy to go back to the original default theme, or to change to any one of the other choices.
I have always like the Spring theme best, but we know people have vastly varied preferences, which is why there are those options.
