My family and I hike (used to) to a waterfall that was only 30 min drive away, and a 45 min to 1 hour hike after the drive. However, we would stay for a whole weekend and the amount of people to come to this place were nil. We would maybe see 10 in a whole day. My husband just recently got a dune buggy and I told him we would need to take the buggy to the waterfall. He said we couldn't it was against Park rules. I told him we could put my handicap placard on it and tell them it's a must. I am willing to get the ticket once a year just to go enjoy my special place.
