Here one of the social isolation rules is that you should only leave your house if you need (not want) to,
Buying groceries is a need.
If you buy groceries then the social separation rule kicks in; you should never approach anybody else closer than 1.5 metres and when you get home you should wash your hands carefully with soap and water.
This is working; the number of new Covid-19 infections is much less than 5% of its peak. Probably as long as everybody sticks to the rules we will be free of Covid-19 fairly soon. Technically this is probably because Ro (the average number of uninfected people somebody who is infected infects) is less than 1 so the virus will die out soon.
