Starkey: My Neurologist recommended that I have in home IVIG infusion and I certainly would have had it that way if my Health Insurance paid for IN Home infusion. It would not pay the $23000.00 per infusion expense if done in home. I went to an Infusion center at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City(Closest one) 5 hours away from my home and my Medicare and Medigap coverage paid every penny for it. As far as how plain home infusion works, I had it done in 2015 for 3 months regarding an infection I obtained in a small rural hospital and the Home care nurses were excellent. Good luck and God Bless.
