Two encouraging developments were reported last night.

The Oxford vaccine project has found it leads to both a T cell and a B response to Covid-19. T cells are important in killing virus-infected cells and B cells can produce antibodies which bind to their target.

Second, it was reported that infusion of a nebulised form of interferon beta into the lungs is protective for people who have severe Covid-19 infections. Interferon beta is part of the innate immune system which has been used in other contexts so getting regulatory approval for this one should not be hard.
