The battle against alpha-synuclein is back. Between 2000 and 2003 many interesting studies were conducted.
Magnesium and green tea have already been shown to prevent the addition of alpha-synuclein, the spontaneous one and that produced by iron (Golts 2002, Xu 2016).
Could the elevated level of homocysteine in the blood and in the brain - it crosses its protective barrier - be responsible for the alteration of alpha-synuclein? (Enomoto 2019). This would add vitamins B6, B9 and B12 to the arsenal against alpha-synuclein, acting against homocysteine (the latter as recommended by Dr. Ahlskog in his books).
