I have some diabetic neuropathy issues but so far haven't had any foot surgery.

You indicate that the pain is in the region where you had the toe surgery. Have you been to the doctor who did the surgery about this? It's possible that your pain problem is related to the surgery. There may be scar tissue that has formed, for instance.

There are recommended ways of dealing with quite a few post-surgical problems but your doctor would be the best guide on this.

I hope you can find a way to get rid of the pain.
