Did she say MRI or did she say NCV or NCS or EMG? Those would be more appropriate in many cases.
You need to find a Physiatrist (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) who can better diagnose your condition.
A chiropractor, especially a chiro who has a specialty in upper cervical issues, would be helpful.
