Did the chiro have any x rays done of whole C spine before working on you?

If you look up upper cervical or atlas axis adjusting on you tube.. you can see if any of those are like what your dr did or not...

I did have x ray & a previous MRI to show DC before he worked on me.

He also worked on my neck muscles /spasms along with the adjusting..
