Caroline, it's still the same drug though. People are now stockpiling the drug from vet suppliers because they're being falsely directed to misinformation. It is used oral form in humans to treat "onchocerciasis and strongyloidiasis" as mentioned in the NIH and FDA statements above.

I would imagine that if one was diagnosed with either onchocerciasis or strongyloidiasis at the same time as one was diagnosed with Covid-19 then getting rid of the parasite would have to be beneficial, however I personally can't imagine a doctor writing a script for Ivermectin so that their patient could buy the drug on Amazon as you have suggested above. "Ivermectin, drug to Fight Covid and where to get it".
