bachissimo,
It is unfortunate you are such a skeptic about leg check. I refuse to be treated by a chiro who has not mastered leg check unless he has some amazing manual diagnostic skills. Very few do. I don't go for temperature differential, Gonsted x-ray analysis, or any of the other diagnostic protocols.
The very first time I had a leg check assessment was by a county fair exhibitor. They did not treat anybody and knew I was not within driving distance of their office. They were just demonstrating the protocol.
They nailed it. Without any touching of my back, the chiro knew exactly where my chronic problems were.
I prefer to be treated by chiros who do not ask me to mark the form or computer check-in with my complaints. It is their job to properly diagnose me. The good ones can.
Some Activator protocol chiros use slippers to do leg check but I find they do not make much difference.
