My pain specialist recommended applying Mineral Ice to my feet and hands and also along the base of my spine where nerve receptors are. The purpose was to send cooling messages to the brain. There's research to support this. For me, the relief was minor and temporary and the application was kind of messy and sticky. I did't think it was worthwhile. I had stinging, stabbing pain in addition to the burning. It might be helpful if the primary symptom is just burning.
