--is not a cause of disordered immunity, but there are many immune conditions that can have neuropathy as a symptom (such as lupus, Bechet's, rheumatoid arthritis, and a host of others); and there are also a number of systemic conditions (such as many of the blood cancers) that can have symptomatic effects that include neuropathy.

So, in essence, most neuropathies are "secondary" to some other condition--part of the reason it's hard to get medical and fundraising attention specifically to it.

There are, of course, primary neuropathies that are genetic/hereditary in nature.
