With spinal surgery, you want to be very cautious. Some spinal surgeries have been shown to be unnecessary, and some might even do more harm than good.

A lot depends on what you're willing and able to tolerate. If you can put up with the symptoms you're having, maybe by making some adjustments in your life (the way you sit/stand/walk, the way you sleep, the activities you do that might bring on problems for you, etc.), you should probably decide against surgery, or take a "maybe later" approach.

That's what I would do, anyway. A good surgeon may have information indicating that your condition will only get worse without the surgery, but even a surgeon doesn't have a crystal ball.
