I don’t understand how an operating room will be helpful. You need to be numbed then blocked for the right teeth awake or asleep. That was the problem I ran into for my dental work. The endodontist who said he would do the blocks for me, chose to just numb me. Wasn’t enough. The nerves need to be blocked. Try googling what blocks for what # teeth. You are not alone, even though there seems to be no medical articles on this subject.
