Hi there I think there are 2 types of ultrasound being discussed here (cource I could be wrong ) one the types is what they use to see a baby developing invitro, thus guiding the needle Talya4me needs to drain her knees.. example here:

I had ultrasound treatments I don't know that they helped too much but if nothing else it can be a gentle way to desensitise.. make sure that they heat the jell and warm the ultrasound wand and don't expect the worst it realy isn't bad, very soft glide.. but the negative expectations if you let yourself wory to much will actualy make your pain worse now.. and at the apointment time.
