Default Loss/death of motor neurons

Hello everyone,

I am having trouble with some neurological symptoms for almost 5 years. It started with muscle weakness and progressed every year a little bit, and in the last year quite a lot. The weakness also caused scoliosis and other "physical" damages. But I'm here becasue of the latest EMG I did. The results od the exam were: "mild motor neuron loss in the tested areas". So my question is; does this motor neuron "loss" mean that it is a neuromuscluar disorder and will it progress further (more motor neuron loss) or can it stay at the "mild" level.

In short - is it possible to lose motor neurons without having an neuromuscular disorder and does it always progress?

Thank you for your time
