I'm so very sorry to read that you lost your friend and that you've had such a difficult time since then.

I remember quite a while back that you had fires in your area and you needed to get to safety. I always wondered if you ended up going back home after it all settled or if you needed to find somewhere else to live.

This week we've had some terrible floods down south of me in the area where I used to live. Whole towns have been destroyed by flood water and I also have many friends in the hills and valleys nearby who were not able to be contacted and had no food this week for days until they cleared landslides by themselves and they were able to get supplies that had been dropped by helicopters. It's all been unreal and I've felt so bad to be so far away and unable to help.

That's what made me think about trauma after disasters and wondered how you coped with all that at the time and now you've lost your friend as well. You are resilient. Some people bounce back faster than others. We all just have to take your own time and keep safe there hey?
