Most people will agree that we should avoid the bad stuff. The problem is that there is lots of confusion and conflicting guidance on what is good and bad.

For the past 30 years saturated fats have been demonized and the rates of brain disorders like Alzheimer's has skyrocketed. It seems there is mounting evidence showing that saturated fats are actually healthy and should be incorporated into our diets. Coconut oil is one such source of saturated fat. And if you do a Google search for "healthy fats", Coconut oil is on most lists.

No doubt that the diet restrictions are less sweet than the common western diet because sugar is so addictive. But the brain will learn to crave the more nutritious foods once you break the sugar addiction.
