Fast forward to 2021, i was getting routine blood work done at the docs and my blood sugar was 112...approaching pre-diabetic....so i decided to change my diet a bit and cut 95% of the sugar and most all carbs from my diet... i also cut drinking diet sodas down to once or twice a week from 6/7 days a week....
It is now January 2023 ive lost 25 lbs...my A1C is 4.7 (normal),my overall energy has came back, im working out 4-5 days a week, i sleep better, and my symptoms from my neuropathy are almost all but gone... about 90% gone.....im back to living a mostly normal life on my feet with very little issues from the neuropathy....
I believe the eliminating the sugars, the high fructose corn syrups, the diet sodas, and most all the carbs really makes a huge difference...
I just wanted to share this in maybe it will help anyone who is dealing with neuropathy with no answers from doctors that there is possible solution for beating this awful condition... never once did the many doctors ive dealt with over the last 11 years ever mention what i ate or drank...
Great to hear, I'm glad your beat the "idiopathic" diagnoses. Like you, I also acquired periphereal neuropathy in 2011 at age 59. My PN has neither improved nor gotten worse, and is bearable as it is a surface numbness of my feet, and not the more dramatic symptoms of stabbing lightening bolts and burning.
I've lost over 50 lb.s and obsessively work out 7 days a week. I need to do a better job of keeping the sugars and high fructose corn syrup crap out of my mouth.
