I am new here, and was diagnosed with TN just last Tuesday, so I'm not one who can give advice.
What happened to me is that there are "triggers" that bring on the pain. For example, one day recently I decided to take a bike ride on the greenway for exercise. It was a nice, sunny, warm day, so I rolled down the window for fresh air, but had to close it fast, because the pain in my eye area was extremely painful.
I cannot get in shower and place my head under the spout with hot water coming down, because it causes the same kind of pain. Or if my left eyebrow is itching, I can't scratch it because of the pain.
Your condition doesn't sound like the same thing I have. I believe it would be best for you to consult with a neurologist to make sure there is nothing else causing the pain. I was told to get a CT scan so they could rule out other things.
Good luck, and I hope you find the cause of it soon.
