Hi

Sorry you've been sick with concussion and covid on top of that. I think any illness we get can exacerbate our neuropathy and also make symptoms of concussion worse. The body is working overtime to rid itself of the virus so having all that inflammation going on from different conditions would most probably cause a flare. Hopefully the flare will settle down fast.

In the meantime do as much recouperation as you can. Drink lots of water and use magnesium if you have it both topically and internally. Just my opinion and what I do when I have a flare which is often!

If you're still dealing with brain fog, or sensory overload or dizzy or having vertigo episodes with your concussion, hopefully they'll settle down a lot once you're more on the mend from the virus. Headaches? Talk with your doctor is your headaches are really bad.

I've fortunately never had covid despite having to visit hospital for every week for the whole of the pandemic so I can't speak to that. Some people seem to take longer to recover from covid than others.

What was going on with your problem walking? Was that due to feeling weak on your legs or pain from neuropathy or was it something else? You say that's gone now so that's a good thing.

Here's hoping that your neuropathy will settle in time and sooner than later, but I imagine that even if it had been some other virus or illness, the neuropathy may have worsened as well.

Hoping you have a good doctor who's checking on your recovery from your concussion. That's really important.

Hopefully someone else may have experience with covid affecting their symptoms. I'm pretty sure it's a common effect due to the body's reaction to the inflammation caused by the virus.

Maybe run a search in the search feature on the forum for covid and neuropathy, and you'll bring up more posts. Do talk with your regular doctor about all this.
take care
