I have a very similar neuralgia. Mine is nerve damage in the sinus from a really bad infection. Is it the upper molar? If so my surgeon can probably help. I had thermal lesioning of the intraorbital nerve. Although I have an appt Monday to see about another procedure.. if your pain is in the front molars he can likley make it stop. That is the same nerve and mine was successful but still have one branch that hits my sinus that isn’t leasioned. Contact WVU Rockerfeller neurological institute. Dr Konrad is my neurosurgeon. Good luck! Hard to put into words how terrible it is. I have atypical like yourself and it is almost always at a 3 to 5 on the pain scale with multiple flares to ER level daily. Super hard.
