Here is an update from nurse Rachel as of this morning:
Arrian is pretty awake today, they gave her a bed bath and washed her hair, she seems to want to watch TV.
They have cut back on her pain meds, but Rachel is meeting with the pain team to discuss her fingers and feet. To catch everyone up to speed on this topic, she is likely going to loose all of her toes, part of her feet and most of the tips of her fingers. She seems to want to discuss her fingers and toes, she nods when they ask her. They are going to bring in Jason, children's advocate to discuss how we should discuss this with her.
She is breathing above the ventilator, so her breathing has improved.
She is urinating a bit on her own, but will be on the kidney dialysis again tomorrow.
She seems to be getting more and more stable each day, but she still has a very long road ahead. We can't wait to be able to have a conversation with her where she can speak to us and tell us how she is feeling or what she is thinking, but that will come in time.
Lani (Arrian's mom) would like to thank everyone for thinking and praying for her on a daily basis. She hopes to get on here to write updates soon, but she stated that she is having a difficult time putting her thoughts into words these days with all that is going on.
Our entire family wants to thank everyone thus far for the support, thoughts, prayers, donations and just plain being here for our family.
