Ok, I finally watched the new show called murder. Programmed the dvr on one of our satellite boxes. Started the show and it was already in progress so I missed the first 10-15 minutes. So bummed. But, as a bonus, I did get that same amount of time of another show at the end.
Anyway there are 2 teams of 3. One group was parametics and I think the other were firefighters. They have like (I'm guessing) 40 hours to investigate the crime. They go through the crime scene (missed that part), meet with the pathologist who performed the autopsy. A real detective give them evidence as it comes in bit by bit and the suspects. One member of each team got to shoot the weapon at a watermelon filled w/blood. They confer to figure out suspects, and try and put a case together. Then they get to visit the crime scene one last time.
Now it is time to present their cases on who they thought committed the crime. The team that wins gets money donated to their favorite crime victims group.
The kicker is that these cases are based on real solved crimes. There are actual pictures of crime scene and autopsy photos interspersed throughout the show. At the end the detective states the actual facts of the case and charges the supect was convicted of, and the sentence.
Overall, I found it well done if not a bit graphic with the actual pictures and bloodstains at scene, etc. I hope it was recreated. Hopefully it will start on time next week and I can see the beginning. If you like real crime and think you have csi solving skills, watch for yourself.
