Hi Melinda and a big WELCOME to NT. I can relate to you. I have FM. I sure don't want to give you advice as to whether you should have the OP or not, but I can tell you that I have probs w/a leaky bladder also.
I have to cross my legs when I cough or sneeze. I am always running to the bathroom, as the smallest amt in my bladder causes me to have an urge to go. Lifting causes pain in my muscles and yes, also gives me the urge to go. BUT, I have not had a hysterectomy, so I can't comment on whether that has added to the problem w/you or not. What does your Gyno say?
I see a Rheumatologist regularly and he has helped me immensely. I believe my prob is partly due to my FM, but I can't say for sure. Can you seek another opinion? I feel for you, but just can't tell you what I think you should do. This is a major decision on your part, so seek more opinions. Surgery is something you need to take seriously and feel like it is the 100% right thing to do B4 you have it....
take care and Yes, I can totally understand the FM pain. It is miserable. I live w/it every day... take care and keep us posted.
Welcome again!
