I have recently been getting spasms in my scm muscles- the one that go from behind/below your ears to the breastbone. I haven't found a solution, unfortunately.
shelley mentioned that she gets more spasms in her neck/shoulder area when her thyroid is acting up (read: it's spewing excess everything out of it into that neck area). Going back to you being cold all the time, have you ever had your thyroid functions checked? It isn't difficult, and it is a good rule out sort of thing. Hypothyroid will make you cold all the time, among other things, and a swollen thyroid really messes with your neck structures. I am having some of this going on now myself. I was hoping it would resolve with thyroid meds, but now the doc says i am normalized and nothing has stopped. Patience, i keep telling myself..patience.
I also just ordered a buckwheat pillow, at the suggestion of new PT. Not sure if it will do anything yet, but I guess i'll find out soon enough.
