Thank you!!!!!!!!
He's still doing BEAUTFULLY. I told daughter he'd be a laid back, happy baby and he is.

Some things mammaws know, yes?
He's wonderful. Daughter's doing better. She had a huge wave of hormones which isn't good for the hyperthyroidism, but she's leveling out...for now. I explained how massively important rest is for her if she's to be what he needs. She was finally able to hear me and rest a bit.
Things are now settling. For the first couple of days it was her doing all till she was a bawling mess...passing out from exhaustion then me doing it all while she slept. Now she's taking advantage of being at mom's and napping during the day and easing up a bit. She had him all night last night and actually slept a little too.

I'm so proud of her. She's now deep bonding with him and finding a routine for them both.
He's very small and fragile but wise-looking and alert when awake. When he has his wake periods (a couple a day now) I just LOVE talking to him and feeling watching his response. He pushes his head back into my hand and lifts his little eyebrows to try to go face to face with me and goes completely still...wanting to hear me and respond in the ways he knows how. It means more to me than I can explain.
I never knew that I could love a child so much other than my own but just to think about how much I do makes me cry every time.
Daughter and baby both go back to hospital today for a complete check. He's shown a bit of jaundice (so much as we know about it) on his face, but I think that's resolving on its own. I'll let you know what they say.
Thank you again so much everyone.
Love,
KD
