These are Keens shoes. They are expensive unless you catch them on sale but I've found mine on sale at about half regular price. The rubber is substantial and really probably does stop most of the breaks I'd normally get. I'm buying these things in winter styles too.

Here's hoping your poor toes get well soon. I'm very familiar with toe breaks. Hurts doesn't it?
