I hope all goes well. When they do your Spect scan, do they make sure you're in a quiet room, or doesn't it matter?
It mattered to me. At the Brigham and Women's Hospital, a couple of folks were talking about their Christmas shopping, inside the room, just a few feet away from me. I got angrier and angrier and blew up at them for being so unprofessional, so they had to do it over from the start.
Second time I went there for a scan, there was a ruckuss in the room next to mine (open windows in between) that never let up. I was furious. I was having a brain scan, dammit.
My BP gets high when I'm angry. And my brain metabolism is probably different, too. Shouldn't it be peaceful? I hope yours was!
