Daniella:
I just responded to you (on another thread) about my friend who is battling anorexia.
I think it's very nice that you send cards. It's a thoughtful thing to do. You go out of your way to write and send the card. I do hope people are appreciative of what you do.
I have noticed that young people today do not take the time to stop, smell the roses and be nice to each other. It's a faster paced world (with the computer, ipods, cell phones, text messaging etc.).
People need to slow down and look around, look up at the sun and say to themselves. "Okay, I got up today, maybe I'll have a better pain day".
I know that I have to get up a bit slower, I have my lidoderm patches to put on my back (when my scoliois drives me nuts).
But I also know that when it's 100 degrees outside with no humidity, (very rare but it does happen), that I can put on my walking shoes, put on my IPOD and listen to my disco music and go walking for miles.
Everybody is croaking outside but I'm in no pain. I remember to bring my water with me and re-hydrate.
God, I wished I lived in the desert.
