Hello tomc,
I am sorry you are dealing with this cyst. I had a colloid cyst removed Nov 2000. It took a bit for me to recover from the surgery, but I am doing very well today. I suggest you research your options on which type of surgery is best for you, and also find an experienced surgeon. (experienced with colloid cyst removal)

I have heard of some excellent neurosurgeons in your area, but I can't think of names specifically at present.

Many doctors have the "wait and see" attitude with colloid cyst. My experience personally, and that which I have found in my reading is that the cyst should be removed before the symptoms become problematic. Have you done a google search yet to find more info on colloid cysts? There is alot of info out there.

Best wishes to you, and ask any questions you might have, Dodi
